Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra...

'Tis the season...

When you open the mailbox to find eleven catalogues featuring slut-lipstick-red and cheerful drunken Irish-green, along with little children with curly blonde hair and fake rosy cheeks, you know the countdown to Christmas has begun.

And I'm sitting here, wondering why, when the media dictates almost every aspect of the majority of the population's lives, and that Christmas ads have been playing on tv and the radio since mid-October, I seem to be the only one who's known how many days until Christmas since Wednesday, October 16.

Where's the justice? Anyone else find it ironic that the themes of several highly-advertised Christmas specials are not to commercialize Christmas? Or that for someone who loves Christmas, I'm sure doing an awful lot of complaining?
